Sobre este lugar
The Pont des Amours arches gracefully over the narrow Canal du Vasse, linking the Jardins de l'Europe to the great lawns of Le Paquier. The delicate ironwork you see today was built in 1907, a fine example of Belle Epoque engineering that replaced an earlier wooden footbridge from 1845. Its romantic name springs from a local legend that any couple who kiss in the middle of the span will stay together forever, though some say the quiet, shaded crossing once served as a discreet meeting place for secret admirers. Today it offers one of the most photographed views in the whole of Annecy, with the tree-lined canal drawing the eye out to the open lake and the mountains beyond.
