À propos de ce lieu
The Mirador de Aldehuela is a viewing terrace set just off the Puente Nuevo, on the old-town side, named in honour of José Martín de Aldehuela, the architect who completed the great bridge. From here you get the classic, definitive view of the Puente Nuevo, seen side-on, soaring in its full height across the narrow neck of the El Tajo gorge, its great arches stacked above the plunging rock walls, with the river far below and the valley opening out beyond. It is the viewpoint from which the most famous photographs of Ronda are taken, and it reveals the astonishing scale and daring of the bridge far better than standing on top of it. A path also leads down from near here toward the bottom of the gorge for those with the energy to descend for the ultimate view looking up at the bridge.
