About this place
The Uhrturm is the iconic clock tower of Graz, perched high on the Schlossberg with commanding views of the city. Famous for its reversed clock hands—long for hours, short for minutes—it is a remnant of the old fortress spared from Napoleon's destruction. The tower is surrounded by gardens and offers a picturesque spot to admire the red rooftops of the historic center. It remains the most photographed and beloved landmark in Styria.
