Landhaushof & Landeszeughaus

A stunning Italian Renaissance courtyard with tiered arcades, hidden right off the main street. Adjacent to it stands the historic Armory, housing a massive arsenal of medieval weaponry and armor.

About this place

The Landhaushof is a magnificent Renaissance courtyard that feels distinctly Italian, featuring three stories of graceful arcades designed by Domenico dell'Allio. It serves as the home of the Styrian regional parliament and a venue for open air events. Right next door lies the Landeszeughaus, the world's largest historic armory. It preserves a staggering collection of 32,000 weapons and suits of armor, kept in their original 17th century arrangement as a testament to the city's role as a bulwark against invasion.
