About this place
The fountain anchors the far edge of the parterre with a dramatic burst of stone and spray. At its heart stands the sea god, poised as if the next gesture might calm or rouse the waters. Around him playful attendants lean, blow, and beckon, turning myth into movement. The composition is meant to be read from a distance and then rediscovered up close in swirling details. Reflections double the figures on sunny days and soften them on cloudy ones. Behind it all, the hill and pavilion frame the scene so the fountain reads as both destination and doorway.
